The driver of the pickup stopped and we stopped right behind him. To my surprise, the only thing damaged on our car was the driver's side mirror. The entire side of the other driver's truck had a deep scratch running from the front fender to the back fender. No one was injured, and since Georgia is a no-fault state, we each get to pay for our own damages.

We were both blessed and lucky as the accident could have been much worse. We had been to Valdosta Georgia for one of our grand-daughter's graduation from Valdosta State University, and were headed back home to North Carolina. For all of the many times in my life that I have traversed the I 285 bypass, I-75, and I-85 in Atlanta this is the first time that I have been involved in a accident in Atlanta.

We have about an 8 hour drive give or take and we are considering towing my car versus driving just for the peace of mind of nohavingng any issues on the road. Do most tow or drive with this size drive? My car is far from a trailer queen but none the less it is a 13+ year old car w/still some original parts on it, not many, but some.
