the mad dash- 2010
How many besides me go through this every year...rushing to get in the new changes for the gathering??
this year it's getting the car recleared- new wheels, rear end. I am headed to the shop tomorrow to help prep it for the fresh clear, she'll be shi---ny this year. Then I head to work tomorrow night. They should have it cleared by the time I get back home on the 19th. New Weld RT-S rims(15x10 4.5"bs and 15x4's) showed up today! BLING! Tires are here(295/55 M/T D/R's and 165/80's). Eric at midwest chassis promised me that he'd have me a narrowed(3" per side) 9" rear delivered by the 20th so we'll have time to prep/paint/install before we leave on the 27th. Gonna be 'nother close one!!! Somewhere in the middle of it all, new blackbird stripes, reinstall rear seats, and bmr lowering springs. RE: the mad dash- 2010
I'm on that boat as well.. not sure if I'll get everything done though.
-Finish installing nitrous -Wire new switch panel and fuse box -Run new front brake lines, line lock, prop valve -Remove, reseal, reinstall trans -Replace oil pan gasket -cut/install new carpet -Clean the hell out of it! If I can't get everything taken care of, I'll just bring my Dad's red/white vert, which I'll need to install some new AC components on. -Travis |

RE: the mad dash- 2010
Yep same thing trying to find time to get the car cleaned (plus figure out which car to bring) I decided not to trailer this year so it's going to be a light load plus the family is staying at home (solo this year).
Before you know it will be the Week of the gathering. Sean -2001 Z/28 "Show Car" -2000 Camaro -2006 Silverado 1500CCSB VMAX 6.0L -2007 Suburban -2007 Haulmark 24x8.5 enclosed car hauler -2010 Camaro 2LT/RS, A6, Sunroof, Black/Black "Car Show Display Inc" http://www.carshowdisplay.com |

RE: the mad dash- 2010
I think we need to organize an Old Skool gang no trailer event one year... I've often thought how much easier it would be to throw a bag in the back of one of the other cars and roll out- The truck, trailer and stuff is kinda a PITA!

RE: the mad dash- 2010
My LT1 backing plates showed up today- bought from a LS1Techy. So I don't have to rob the ones off the 12 bolt.
Good point T...Gotta modify the trailer too- car already scrubs going on and off. The reason I am always like this, is because income tax/bonus money comes it March...2 months for mods. Good thing is that this year isn't nearly as bad as last year. Emerald Coast Camaro/Firebird 1996 Trans Am- 2004 Silverado - 2007 Bandit 1250S My F-Quick Page!! CLICK HERE |

RE: the mad dash- 2010
Yes, at this point last year your car didn't even really resemble a car, if I remember correctly.

RE: the mad dash- 2010
Lee, you'll notice my trailer has a bit of custom "clearancing" done for my heap also.
I realized it wouldn't clear the Spohn T/A 3 days prior to G9...Tbags, I'll yield to your recollection, as I don't remember much from last year. LOL |
