We're close to closing on an agreement with the hotel for 2009, there are a few small things left to iron out with them. Room pricing is always a large concern for us, especially these days with all of us having to watch where the pennies go. I will say right now that the room rates are within reason given the quality of the facility itself and the overall services available to us. I expect the room rate to come in at $85/night.
Please do NOT make a reservation for the hotel right now as they will NOT honor this rate. There will be more than enough time to book your room and I have secured enough to go around.
I will also mention that we do not intend to hold the "Dinner" portion of the event Sunday evening this year for reasons I won't bore you with. We will of course have the Awards Ceremony/Auction which will be open to all at no additional cost besides your event registration. The FbodFather is taking time out of his schedule to be with us again and we've got a neat line up of some cars coming in compliments of General Motors that are brand new to the Gathering. GMMG will be hosting their annual open house as well.
Lot's to do behind the curtains but rest assured we are all working as quickly and as diligently as possible to get the information to you and your patience (not to mention support and encouragement) is sincerely appreciated!!
