We didn't do any of the cruises this year...The announcement to go to Vengeance crept up on us and we had no clue where they were and with the threat of weather I didn't want to get caught an hour away from the hotel in a monsoon like we hit coming in on Thursday.
We ended up at Hooter's on Sunday instead of Joe's Crab Shack - was more because several in a group don't like or can't eat seafood... The place was quite literally empty when we got there so it could be an option for next year...The girls were quite happy to have their picture taken with at least one of our cars too.
I see someone mentioned Dave & Busters...If I'm not mistaken, they actually have party rooms there...and they have $15.99 eat & play deals at least for now they do...and it's less than 5 miles from the hotel.
Someone else mentioned something about awards and checking whether you want an award at registration.... well if you don't want an award, just don't have your car put in a class... Then your car doesn't get judged and you don't get an award...
Oh and definitely get that cool inflatable jousting ring again!! I just need to be a little less drunk when I get into it next year! I WILL BEAT JASON!!!
And I agree with how unpredictable the weather is just skip the band, as good as they were, we can just stick with the ipods...
And 50/50 before the auction is definitely a good idea since the winner could use that money for auction items...

This year was only my 2nd gathering but I had a blast and plan to come back as long as it is there. I posted on z28.com that whoever said Disney is the "Happiest Place on Earth" has never been to an Fbody Gathering...because this is truly the most fun I have all year! The people are great...Y'all have truly done an outstanding job with this event and it's more like a gathering of friends & family than a car show and that's what makes this so special.
I've put on a couple of benefit car shows locally and I know how much work goes into doing that....The labor of love that Chad and Andy and Fran and Sherry have put into the Gathering is amazing and I just want to say THANK YOU!!!!!!!
<<<------------- cannot be beaten, chalk stupidity know no bounds
awe-SSome time again this year...can't express how much we appreciate all the work that's required behind the scenes for the show and memories we makeWorthyWorthy....we have a local 'cruise' with NO judging and it's a bear each year...

have to agree with 'cruise' issues...only a slight tweak for those..
also agree with doing the 50/50 award earlier...could help someone

IF there is a scavenger hunt, have been to others and it spans 2-3 days, therefore no need for rushing, goal is to complete by deadline, not the 'first w/ the most'...

this has become our 'annual show', Carol loves the event, the crowd, the cars, the fun, hell everything more than anything or any others we've ever done...if she approves, then i'll definitely be back...deal with it!!!RolleyesYahoo

a big THANKS to everyone again for a wonderful w/e full of great memories,
told a friend 'f' in f-body gatherin' stands for food, fun and fellowship...with some great cars thrown in....

i approve and will donate to help continueBig GrinBig GrinYes the venue also, where's the bucket?!?!

c y'all next year!!!
Do the awards earlier if possible. I had to work the next day and left early sunday and both my cars got awards. 1st and 2nd in there class and a friend grabbed them for me.

do the auction earlier if possible.

MOBLIE DYNO! do it. It would be sweet.
I'd like to improve the communications prior to and during the show. Maybe something with text messaging... With people spread out across the parking lot, in their rooms, and roaming to eat, etc, the PA system helps, but I think we can use more. Does anyone know of a solution to reach large numbers of phones on all networks easily?
