I like what i see so far, keep 'em coming guys! Kyle, i am with you on that!!
A retractable roof for the parking lot...that is all.
The cruise to a different locations should NOT be a point to see how many cars we can get lost betweet point a and pont b. We all know we have fast cars so why do we have to go 90+ mph to get there? Most of the people are from out of town and were lost before getting on the i-85. The others I spoke to who didn't go said it was because of the history of the Canonball run type event. It was like every man, women and truck for themself. The maps were of NO help and were not given to each car but every 5th or 6th car. When we have gone to the STARS show we all line up and it's a line of up to 100 f- bodies and to object is to get there together NOT to get there fast. The looks you get with that many is much more impressive than if you have to cut in and out of traffic to keep from getting lost like your life depends on it. That is the only issue I have with the event at all. OH GPS did not help due to there is more than one location and some did not know what location we were going too.

The only fix I can see is the host club that did this even take smaller groups, or have 2 people that know where they are going in case of a light. That way the other one can step up and be the lead car and get the group there. OR make sure everyone has a map with the location address and phone so they can use their GPS or phone. Thanks for the vent and look forward G-15
Not a whole lot I would change then again if nothing changes I will still come the “Fbody Gathering” is a National Holiday Big Grin

1. Dump the Band and save the $$ to help pay for the event or the following years event
2. 50/50 drawing before the auction
3. Bring back the GMMG open house (I know it was out of your hands this year) .
4. Maybe get in touch with a local H(O)(O)TERS or Wing House for an event on Sunday cruise on over say 11am to be
5. See what is needed to bring the road rally back or some sort of scavenger hunt around the area again for a Sunday event

Sean
Thanks for the feedback. Keep them coming.

Did ya'll take advantage of the 10%discounts at Joes Crab Shack and Texas Roadhouse? We talked about find more places to give discounts.
I think a event like mentioned above, road rally or scavenger hunt would be a huge hit. It allows you to get out and cruise around. The only other thing is to have the awards earlier in the day. It will give folks the opportunity to hang out a little longer or for those that have to leave be able to get a jump on the trek home. Other than that, thumbs up again from me.

Sherri and I actually discussed this on the way home... we did it years ago, and it was a blast (I think it was G5 or G6 when we last did it). We'd even be willing to try to get up there a day earlier in order to help map it out and get it put together.

There are a lot of people mentioning saving money... here's one for that:
What if on the registration form, you check a box to say if you're interested in getting an award for the car show? Those awards cost a good bit of money, and every year, there seem to be a ton left on the table because people took off before the awards banquet. So if "we" didn't have to buy so many plaques for people who don't care about them anyways, that might save some money.

I'm happy that there was no dinner this year. Those hotel people are out of their damn minds for what they want for it. So I suggest that we keep it that way... no awards dinner buffet.

Maybe put up a donation/suggestion box in the office, or out at the tent. Then as people think of something that would be cool, or make something better, they can place a suggestion at that time, instead of trying to remember it until after the event. Also would be nice to see people make donations in order to help cover the costs of things, such as the blow up jousting pit, the music (whether it be a band, dj, or ipod), and to help cover any extra expenses that occur, that the hotel likes to spring on Andy at the last minute.
Here's a suggestion: Have the company that brought the inflatable arena pick the damn thing back up! lol

Sure did Fran...and thanks! Joe's Crab Shack was pretty good on Friday night!
I also agree with having the awards a little earlier on Sunday...would make it easier for those of us who have to get back on the road to attend. I'm always interested in winning one, I just can't hang around that late and then drive back home.

Re: cruise - I think it would just be fun to have a cruise in general. Perhaps a loop around the city, perferrably far enough out to get away from some of the congestion (if that's possible in ATL), with maybe one or two stops that offer good photo ops for the group and maybe individual cars. Something that doesn't require doing 90+ MPH to keep up with. Saturday afternoon or evening would be a good time for this.

I also second the suggestion/donation box. I think that would be a great idea for those of us who'd like to put forth a little extra cash to keep this going every year.

Oh you can believe that is already gonna happen!

Seriously, thanks to everyone that helped us with that monster at the last minute!
