A few weeks ago, we made the disapointing decision that we would not be able to make it to G-14. We had a blast at G-13, and planned to come to all of them unitl we are either too old, or we die.
What a sucky winter!! Starting in August, my father-in-law passed away. He was sitting on the sofa in the den, and then just died. A week later my borther-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He passed on Janurary 28th. My mother-in-law passed on February 1st. We tucked her into bed on Monday night, and when we checked on her Tuesday morning she was dead. A few days later my step-son suffered a heart attack. He has four stints now, but is doing OK. I found out last week, that I have potenitally serious heart problems. The plan for now is loosing weight, exercise, and medication.
The economy eventually affected the hospitals. Our regional hospital had to close the telemetry unit in the fall, due to a lack of patients, and my second job vanished. Money got real tight, and we had some difficulty keeping up our bills. Lucky, my primary job has been fairly secure. Nobody's job is safe these days...
Things are starting to look better. I got a new second job. I am working every other weekend as in the local hospital ER. (I am an RN). The pace is hectic, and there is a lot of responsibility, but it is also a fun place to work. Nothing like the ER on TV. I am finally catching up on the bills.
We are hoping to attend G-14, and if things keep going OK, we will be there. I am waiting a few more weeks to register. Call it Murphy's Law, or just plain old superstition, but I don't want to jinks our chances.
The old 86 TA still has 28K original miles on the clock. It has about 100 miles more on it this year then it did at G-13. She spent all winter sleeping in her trailer, only seeing the sun once a week for a few minutes. She ain't perfect, but she is still looking pretty good. I have instructed Betty that when I die, she is to call Andy or Chad, and give all the club members first chance of buying the car. My hope is she will continue to be preserved, and figure that a collector will be the best chance for that. If we give it to one of the grandkids, it will probably be demolished in a few weeks.
Hope everyone is doing well, safe, and happy.
We are hoping to be there, and looking forward to seeing everyone again. And Yes, if we make it to G-14, we are coming to have a good time.

And for the record, I did not buy the 69 RS SS.
