Good morning, Camaro Comrades and Firebird Friends!

Many have asked me "what makes Camaro so special?" --

Naturally, it's a great car with great genes.........

But one of the biggest things that set Camaro apart from the rest of the crowd is THE PEOPLE! There are LOTS of cars and trucks out there that have 'enthusiast' groups, but I dare you to find a greater community with a REAL sense of family than the Camaro/Firebird Community......

And -- with People like Andy and Sherry and Chad and Fran, we have a unique opportunity to have a 'family reunion' every year in Atlanta over the Memorial Day weekend........what a TREASURE! So, I thank these four wonderful people -- not only for their friendship, but their tireless efforts to bring us a show that we can all enjoy....and to form great memories that we'll never forget.........

To everyone:

It would have been so easy for many of you to just 'walk away' from this community when the Fcar went on hiatus - but you didn't -- and I'm so very grateful. The Camaro is back -- (I wish the Firebird were here to join it ...but hey, I've learned NEVER to say NEVER as NEVER is a longggg time.....) -- and thus we have reason to celebrate and plan for G14,15,16,etc.........

So I thank each of you for the passion you show - and for taking the time to join everyone else at this 'Family Reunion' that shows just how great this community is!

I hope all returned home safely - and I hope to see you again next year at G-14.

Finally -- thank you for your kind generosity during the auction......the proceeds ensure that there will, indeed, be a G-14!

The auction is solely why we were able to confirm dates for next year; the hotel was gettin' the deposit early! And with that, we thank everyone that participated, and esp Scott for his donations!

Great thanks back to you Scott! I am sure many of us would love to trade jobs with you, but when it comes down to it, I know it is work. I appreciate what you bring to the Gathering each year, and it wouldn't be close to the same without you.

Keep preaching the seat belt message; my wife is a paramedic and can tell you, seat belts are the key to surviving or walking away from a wreck! We just had 2 little girls killed on the way home from a wedding (flowergirls) because they were ejected in an accident. Even if the trip is only around the corner, or a few miles, 2 seconds of pulling and clicking makes all the difference.

See you next year and we'll have some more cold 'apple juice' ready.
