Decided to bug out early this morning. The little exploder did well! The Trans Am is home and tucked in.

Thanks for another great event everyone!
Copy that.
Panama City LSX home as well.
Ticket free this year as well.
I was afraid someone would get busted on the way back from Varsity.
Just rolled onto the Beach.

Was that you I borrowed the screwdriver from? Thanks a million bro. My car started acting up while I was leaving. I used to work a mile down the road and went to the parking garage to check it out. It was spewing fuel from the carb vent and the float adjuster was leaking. I got the float level down but needed a bigger screwdriver to tighten up the adjuster. I could only imagine my class winner going up in smoke on 285. Thanks again.
Amanda & I got home around 7:30. Thanks to everyone who offered to look at my car to try and figure out the mysterious whistling sound coming from the engine. Wish we had been around Sunday because I know some people were looking for me. Unfortunately, we had already bought tickets to the Georgia Aquarium on line and couldn't afford not to use them. The car made it home safe without throwing any codes. Diagnosis to come...
Unfortunately the squeak in my exhaust was only a pretext of things to come. The chambered exhaust on my car has always been a royal PITA when it comes to fit. It has slipped out of the driver side bracket more times than I care to remember. About 3 years ago, my dad & I fabbed up a piece to keep this from happening. Long story short, somewhere between the hotel and Murfressboro, TN the entire fabbed piece snapped off and left the driver side of the exhaust hanging dangerously close to the road. We babied it home and now I have a second project to take care of.

I rolled out right after the awards and got back into Ft Walton Beach at 1am this morning. Smooth sailing!
Made it home last night . . . unfortunately had trailer tire issues, 1 flat, and another started to come apart . . . All I can say is THANK GOODNESS for Walmart!
