Eleven more hours on this shift, and I am free for a week! No hospital, no pills to give to patients, and no butts to wipe! G-13 sounds like 4 days of heaven.
Betty has been sick, but she is a little better now.
Betty needs a break also. She cares for her elderly parents in our house 24/7. Her dad has Alzhiemer's disease, and is like a two year-old that never grows up, except he is big enough to knock you down if he is in the mood to do so.
Our relief caregivers almost did not make it. My sister-in-law hurt her back, and we were not sure that anyone would cover for us to get away this weekend. She is a little better, and they arrived from Pennsacola Florida yesterday.
So far, several close calls, but we are still planning on being there...
You know how Murphy's law is, so I will not say we are sure we will be there, until we get there. Don't want to jinx anything at this point. We are planning on leaving Thursday morning, if nothing else happens between now and then.
We hope everybody has a safe and fun trip to Marrietta. It's going to be a great weekend, rain or shine.
Hopefully we will see you all on Thursday. Keep your fingers crossed.
The Trans Am is almost ready. It's not perfect, but it's as good as it is going to be right now. I will finish detailing it and load it into the trailer in the morning.
